Thorneloe University
The School of Theology at Thorneloe University is a provider of flexible, affordable learning in a pan-Canadian community of learners.
Choose Thorneloe University if you are looking for:
Flexible learning for adult learners anywhere. We offer a Certificate for Anglican Lay Leaders, a Diploma (recognized as a credential for Diocesan Lay Readers in the Diocese of Algoma), and a Bachelor of Theology (equivalent to three years of full-time study). All three programs are offered entirely by distance, using a mix of correspondence and online courses, allowing students in remote areas of Canada, and around the world, or those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend in-class courses, such as prisoners or part-time students with full-time jobs, to complete a course of study in theology. Relative to most other post-secondary institutions, tuition fees at Thorneloe’s School of Theology are very affordable, and we offer scholarships annually and bursaries every semester.
